Galveston County 4-H is collecting items to send to military members away from home. Please drop off your donations to the Extension Office by March 26. We will be packing care packages at the March Council meeting.

Major Show 2024 SFOT & 2024-2025 Steer Tag Orders Due

Order here February 28 thru April 3 Sheep/Goat SFOT 2024  market sheep/goat, registered breeding sheep/goat, and wether/commercial dams/does MUST order and validate in June; Optional for Spring 2025 major show sheep/goat. Previously validated breeding sheep/goats (registered, wether/commercial) do NOT need to be validated again UNLESS ownership has changed. NEW: If a TGBA/TLBA tag is added, a new tag must be purchased and the animal will have to revalidate. 4-H State Photography Entries Due

The Texas 4-H Photography Contest encourages self-expression and allows youth to demonstrate skills learned in the area of photography, including the use of photographic equipment and processing of photographs. First come, first serve - only 1 entry per category can be submitted in Galveston County! Texas 4-H Horse Validation Deadline ($10/horse)

Deadlines March 1 – April 15, $10 per horse April 16 – May 1, $20 per horse General overview: All horses must be validated through 4-H Online to be eligible to show in District and/or Texas 4-H Horse Shows. Even those that have been validated previously need to be re-validated. Families should validate each horse one time only.
