Galveston County Master Gardeners will be at Keyworth's Hardware Store ready to answer your gardening questions, identify insect pests, plant diseases, and other plant problems. Plant samples are welcomed if sealed in a plastic bag. Galveston County Master Gardener Karolyn Gephart will present and lead a discussion for new gardeners in our Gulf Coast Region. The objective is to make gardening fun. Galveston County Master Gardener Robert Marshall’s presentation will feature the following topics: variety selection of citrus trees that grow well in this area, root stocks, nutrients, disease (citrus canker and citrus greening), insect problems, control of birds and critters, and freeze protection. Marshall has years of experience in many facets of growing and propagating citrus trees in this area.
