Cole Gordon Foundation Scholarship Due

Lonestar 4-H, Helping Hand 4-H, and the Cole Gordon Foundation would like to extend two $1,500.00 scholarships to two graduating Galveston County 4-H members. You must submit an application and give an interview. The application is due by July 12, 2024. You can email a copy of the application to leah.stiles@ag.tamu.edu or drop it off at the Extension office. Scholarship interviews will take place on July 24, 2024  and scholarship recipients will be announced at the 4-H Awards Banquet on August 10, 2024. Word Application PDF Application

4-H Galaxy of Stars Applications Due

Each year Galveston County 4-H recognizes both its deserving youth members and its Adult Volunteer leaders through the Galaxy of Star Awards. These awards are the highest county level achievement awards in the 4-H program and the recipients will be announced at the 4-H Banquet at the end of the 4-H year. Texas 4-H Horse Show

The Texas State 4-H Horse Show will be taking place at the Brazos County Expo in Bryan, TX. Over 350 4-H youth plus their families attend the show from all over the state of Texas. The Texas State 4-H Horse Show is the pinnacle of the 4-H horse project and offers many opportunities to 4-H youth including up to 40 classes of competition, educational programs, scholarships, and college preparation opportunities.
