District Roundup (Big Time in D9) is a 2-day event for 4-H members in District 9 to compete in various contests. Contests include: Ag Product Identification Consumer Decision Making Duds to Dazzle Educational Presentation/Public Speaking Fashion Show Fashion Storyboard Food Challenge Food Show Healthy Lifestles Leaders 4 Life Livestock Skillathon Photography Judging Quiz Bowl (FCH, Horse, and Livestock) Robotics Challenge - moved to May 3rd for 2024 Science Fair Talent Showcase Vet Science Skillathon Wildlife Challenge For more information, visit: https://d94-h.tamu.edu/eventsandcontests/bigtime/

Texas 4-H Horse Validation Deadline ($20/horse)

Deadlines March 1 – April 15, $10 per horse April 16 – May 1, $20 per horse General overview: All horses must be validated through 4-H Online to be eligible to show in District and/or Texas 4-H Horse Shows. Even those that have been validated previously need to be re-validated. Families should validate each horse one time only. 4-H State Roundup Entries Due

Texas 4-H Roundup is a qualifying and invitational event for Senior 4-H youth (9th-12th) who placed in a district level roundup or signed up to compete in one of the invitational events. The Texas 4-H Roundup has around 50 diverse competitions that tie in with the many projects that 4-H has to offer. Enter via 4-H Online. 4-H District 9 Leadership Lab Entries Due

Leadership Lab is a 2-night, 3-day camp to prepare senior age 4-Hers from the 18 counties in District 9 for leadership roles. These roles might be at the county level or their clubs. Lab is set up to be enjoyable and fun, but there is work too. The sessions require participant involvement and concentration. Grades 9th – 12th  are encouraged to attend. Play time is set up with activities that build team work skills and camaraderie in the district.
