Where: Santa Fe Ag Barn (13405 4th 1/2 St, Santa Fe, TX 77510)

If you are no longer validating an animal that you bought a tag for, please email darla.cox@co.galveston.tx.us and let her know.

The following must be present at validation:

• Animal being validated
• Registration Papers – for registered breeding animals (see section below for more info)
• Parent/Guardian – must be present to sign paperwork
  • Parents unable to attend validation must come to the Extension Office before validation to sign a waiver
• Exhibitor – should be present to sign paperwork
  • parents may sign for exhibitor if child cannot attend

Exhibitors with registered breeding animals:

1. Obtain original registration papers that meet ownership requirements
   1. Only exhibitor(s) as owner(s) with no ranch/farm names.
   2. Ownership dates must be on or before November 30 for swine
2. Verify that identifying markings (ear notch) exactly match what is on registration papers. If they don’t match, you can:
   1. Change registration papers to match animal
   2. Change animal to match registration papers
3. Submit a color copy of registration papers to CEA/AST
   1. If showing under Galveston County 4-H, submit to leah.stiles@ag.tamu.edu by November 17.
