The following must be present at validation:

• Animal being validated
• Registration Papers for registered breeding animals (not needed for commercial/wether dams/does or market animals)
  • See section below for more information
• Parent/Guardian – must be present to sign paperwork
  • Parents unable to attend must come to Extension Office before validation to sign a waiver
  • Parents may sign for exhibitor if child cannot attend
  • Ag Teachers CANNOT sign on behalf of parent

Exhibitors with REGISTERED breeding projects must:

• Obtain original registration papers
  • Heifers: Exhibitor must be listed as SOLE owner; Ownership date on or before June 30, 2024.
• Verify that the identifying markings (tattoo/brand) exactly match what is physically on the animal. If they do not match, you can:
  • Change registration papers to match animal
  • Change animal to match registration papers
• Submit a color copy of registration papers to CEA/AST by their deadline
  • If showing under Galveston County 4-H, submit to leah.stiles@ag.tamu.edu by June 24, 2024.
