LATE Major Show Tag Orders Due – Sheep, Goat, & Heifer

Sheep/Goat
- Sheep/goats validated during June 2024 are eligible for Spring 2025 major shows. The validated animal must stay in the care of the exhibitor who validated it. If the exhibitor chooses to sell the project to a new exhibitor, the new exhibitor must revalidate the project within the next validation period.
- Previously major show validated breeding animals do NOT need to be validated again unless ownership has changed.
- NEW: If a TGBA/TLBA tag is added, the animal must purchase a new tag and revalidate.
- Original registration papers for breeding animals must be in exhibitor’s name by October 1, 2024.
Heifer
- Previously validated heifers will NOT be required to get tagged unless they have changed ownership or breed.
- NEW: Original registration papers must be in exhibitor’s name by October 31, 2024.
Order Details
- Order what is necessary. The Extension Office does not order extra. Refunds will not be given.
- Ordering does NOT enter a participant into any show.
- This is NOT for participation in the Galveston County Fair.
Validation Dates & Information
Sheep/Goat: October 23, 4:30-6:30pm @ Fairgrounds
Heifer: October 24, 4:30-5:30pm @ Fairgrounds
