A Matter of Balance-Fall Prevention

A Matter of Balance is an 8-session workshop to reduce fear and falling and increase activity among older adults in the community.

Classes help participants learn to:

  • promote exercise to increase strength and balance

Classes are designed to benefit community-dwelling older adults who:

  • have sustained a fall in the past
  • restrict activities because of concerns about falling
  • are interested in improving flexibility, balance and strength
  • are ago 60 or older, ambulatory and able to problem-solve
