The Texas Master Naturalist Program is a volunteer-based initiative dedicated to conserving and enhancing natural resources and ecosystems across Texas. Participants receive comprehensive training in local ecosystems, wildlife, and environmental stewardship. In return, they contribute to conservation efforts through education, outreach, and service projects that is open to all backgrounds. Training are comprised of classroom instruction and field trips focusing on birds, plants, fish, oysters, marshes, beaches, prairies of the Galveston Bay area, and more. Individual classes are conducted by recognized experts in their fields.
