One Day 4-H

October 10

What is One Day 4-H?

One Day 4-H is one day that all 4-H’ers step out into their communities to serve. Whether it’s giving a helping hand to a neighbor or raising money for a good cause, there are so many ways you can make a difference!

Event Details

Galveston County 4-Her’s will be conducting a beach cleaning up!

  • Due to Hurricane Delta, the clean up date and location has changed (updated 10/15/20)
  • Saturday, October 17, 2:00pm to approximately 4:00pm
  • **UPDATED LOCATION** – Sea Gull Shores Pocket Park 1
    • 3544 7 1/2 Mile Rd, Galveston, TX 77554
    • See map below
    • Going west along Seawall Boulevard, continue past the end of the Seawall onto Termini-San Luis Pass road for about a mile to 7 1/2 Mile Road. Turn Left to Pocket Park 1.

Safety tips: Dress for a clean-up event, not a beach trip. Wear clothes comfortable for the weather, but keep in mind that we may be in the dunes and grassy areas so protect your legs and arms. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. Don’t forget sunscreen, mosquito spray, and water!

We will be practicing good COVID safety measures! Since this is an outdoor event, masks are only required if you are within 6ft of another person. Please refrain from handshakes and hugs. Work gloves will be provided.
