Anyone Can Grow Roses

January 18 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Galveston County Master Gardener John Jons understands for the average gardener the rose has the reputation as a “difficult diva.” A gardener with limited gardening experience can find caring for these perceived delicate plants to be a daunting task. John plans to change this perception by providing novice rose gardeners with information on new roses that are not only stunning but also low maintenance and disease resistant. These new roses make growing and maintaining outstanding roses significantly easier. John will highlight an introduction to the rose plant, how to select a rose plant, how to plant a rose plant and how to care for a rose plant.
