4-H County Roundup

February 3

County Roundup is a day for 4-H members to compete in various contests against other members in the county. County Roundup will be held the morning to early afternoon of Saturday, February 3.

Prior to the contest, you will receive an email with details on specific times for your contest.

Registration is due online by January 25

NOTE: All members must be academically eligible to participate in County Roundup. Keep your grades up!

County Roundup Contests are invitational contests – rules, guidelines, and scoring for each contest follows closely to the Texas 4-H Roundup Contest Rules for each contest, however some differences and changes may be made to accommodate our contests on a smaller scale. Note that these changes apply to the county level only, and you will need to check district/state rules for official rules at those contests. See below for important details and changes to each contest:

***NEW FOR 2024***

  • Food Show will consist of the presentation, skills test, AND knowledge test. Recipes are to be completly prepared at home.
    • 2024 Theme: Cooking Through the Decades
  • Storyboards must be submitted in a digital format.
    •  2024 Theme: Dream

***OTHER REMINDERS***

  • For Food Challenge, teams may consist of 2-4 members. The members participating on this team do NOT have to be members participating at district/state level.
  • Consumer Decision Making is an individual contest at the county level. There will be classes for placing and a reasons portion.
